Si vs Us Presentation

All these presentations could've been better if they were a tad bit more funny. All the presentations had some sort of comedic aspect but they weren't to there full extent.
Overall they were all pretty good and made us laugh a little about dimensional analysis, especially almost erasing that terrible memory of Dimensional Analysis. This made the learning fun in a sense.

Color Theory

The color scheme is the colors of your choice used design for a drawing or things of that nature.
Photoshop picture ------------------------------------------------>

The monochromatic color scheme is the different variations of colors derived from a particular base color using tints, shades and tones. Tints are added to a color by adding white to the base color.
Shades and tones are added to a color by adding a darker color, such as grey or black, to the base color.

The analogous color scheme is when groups of colors, usually three, are adjacent in the color wheel having one dominant color, usually primary or secondary, with two different colors at its side, usually tertiary.

The complementary color scheme is any pair of colors that when are grouped together "cancel" each other out and create white or black depending on the light. They are often placed near each other and called opposite colors because they contrast.

The triads color scheme is when any three colors of the color wheel are equally spread out, usually using a triangle shape, in which they create vibrant colors that are in harmony with each other.

The split-complementary color scheme is a variation to the complementary color scheme that uses the same base color but with two analogous colors across the base color to add the same amount of contrast but with less tension.

Concept Map

Most glass and screens for phones are very useful but expensive to fix after it breaks or cracks. Negatives to this are that the glass can be dangerous and the screen can be useless causing many problems. A solution to this would be sapphire and/or gorilla glass already implemented into the screens and glass. The buyers would have and option to choose which type of glass they would like that could alter the phone towards where it will not break. Gorilla and sapphire glass both have positives and negatives but are very useful to reduce the costs of  fixing, replacing or injury. Broken items are aesthetically unpleasing especially when it is an everyday object, however the already implemented sapphire and/or gorilla glass will make it so that there will not be any aesthetic problems or injury problems due to broken glass. This will not dramatically increase the cost of the object you are buying but it will have a slight significant change to make sure that it will be useful for people in many circumstances.

Problems in the World

Problem: Right-Handed desks
Left-Handed desk/Desk not favoring Right or Left-Handed People

  • Most desks are made for people that are right-handed which can turn out to be very uncomfortable for left-handed people

Problem: Broken Glass and Broken Screen
Glass that doesn't break and but still able to see through

  • Ever hate it when the glass or the screen gets broken? Most screens or pieces of glass are very expensive to repair for the size it is

 Problem: Dirty Water
Transport clean water to areas in poverty

  • When we think of drinking water most of us think of the water shown in the right, however places in poverty drink water from places such as the one on the left

Problem: Crosswalks
Traffic lights for crossing roads and security cameras
  • Most cities have traffic lights for crossing roads either on foot, bike or car, however rural areas, areas in poverty and some cities like our own have crosswalks with no light meaning they have to wait for cars to stop or for there to be no cars, often car drivers do not respect people waiting to cross the street and it is also very dangerous considering that car drivers will try to cross before the people walking get to the other side

Lines

The emotions lines communicate are that they can shape anything. Lines shape and mold everyday objects such as phones, computers, letters, numbers and more. Lines are abstract and they show many different things from anger to love or even confusion. Lines show the world naturally and artificially, they DO NOT have to be straight but are often portrayed as straight because lines in math are straight. Lines are amazing in many ways and can show many things.

Pictures will be up later, I currently do not have the ability to upload the picture

Self Portrait

I am a person that is only good at numbers, if even that. I am not a good artist or sketcher and I lack creativity, but when I do come up with something usually it is very hard for me to portray my ideas. I can do numbers because they are easy and flow into every day life in one way or another. My strongest area involves numbers because I am not an English person or an artist or any other thing that most people would think off as skillful. The only other thing that I am good at is drawing lines and shapes with lines, my skills as a designer are not the best but hopefully they will improve through the year.

Bridge Project

Brainstorming is important because it helps us come up with ideas to come up with solutions to our given problems. It helps you get good ideas out to come up with the best idea possible that you can think of, later if you're in a group you can compare ideas and have a successful project.

Testing helps you improve a design because a finished project is always have some sort of flaw that makes you consider it as not finished, testing also helps you make sure that it is functional and doesn't fail at the moment of truth.

If I could change my design and make it different it would've been longer by some weaving and more supported columns to support the people blocks.

Some big characteristics of successful teams are that there needs to be teamwork in the group such as communication and non-infighting. Communication allows for feedback on projects or ideas so that people can better ideas to be more functional. Successful teams are made of people that work together under certain situations to achieve a goal with the given resources that primarily revolves around communication.
